 “ try to remember the kind of September ”( W H E N L I F E W A S S L O W & & S O M E L L O W )- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Stacy’s red hair was pressed against her face by the giant skullcandy headphones that she was wearing, some screamo rock song blasting into her ears so loud that she probably wouldn’t have even been able to hear a fire alarm going off. One finger was twirling the green hair extension around as the computer screen illuminated her features. The laptop was her dorm mates and she had managed to get another virus on the stupid thing, and Stacy being the technopath that she was, was now imbedding her brain into the computer to try and get rid of the damned thing.
A loud growl emanated from her stomach and the red head blinked, her light brown eyes flipping to the analog clock on her bedside table with a light frown. Twelve thirty? Holy crap, she had missed dinner! No wonder she was hungry. Stacy finished what she was doing and started pulling herself out of the computer, going slowly but steadily and then closing it down, setting the laptop on top of the bedside table next to her dorm mate and rolling back onto her bed, grabbing her glasses and slipping them on.
She slipped on a pair of socks too and made her way down to the kitchen, opening cupboards and the refrigerator, frowning slightly when she could find a single damn thing to eat. Oh, but there was soda. She pulled a bottle of Coke from the fridge and opened the freezer, her eyes settling on the tub of ice cream and pulling it out. There was a childlike grin on her face and she danced to the pop song that her iPod switched over to, her socks helping her glide over the floor of the kitchen. Pulling out a bowl and spoon, Stacy started digging out the ice cream.
The red head had the sense of mind to turn down the music on her iPod and she pulled one side of the headphones off her ear so that the music was only playing into one ear, but that still didn’t help her hear the person enter the kitchen.

Rogue moved into the kitchen, white gloves up to her elboes covering her skin. She wasn't confident in her new found control. She saw one of the new student. "Hey." she said as she slipped past the girl and went into the fridge. Her white strips of hair fell across her face as she smiled. "I'm Rogue. You?" her voice was obviously from the south, with a twang and everything.
She grabbed an apple and bit into it. She wondered what the girl's powers were, but she'd wait. Most people knew her. She was an X-man after all, and she'd gotten into a lot of trouble, but she didn't really care. She hoped the girl didn't know her. Then maybe they could just be friends. She'd like that. She smiled as she swollowed. "What has you up this late?"

“ try to remember the kind of September ”( W H E N L I F E W A S S L O W & & S O M E L L O W )- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Stacy probably looked a bit like a dork standing there in her pajamas and dancing around with a spoon in front of her mouth like a microphone. She wasn’t singing out loud, but she was mouthing the words none-the-less, and hey, why not? It’s not like anyone else was in the kitchen or even awake to see her being totally awkward…or at least that’s what she thought as she put the tub of ice cream away and took a bite of her own from the bowl. It was a large bite and it was slowly melting in her mouth when she heard the voice of someone behind her. “Hey.”
The red head spun around, bowl in hand and silver spoon still partly hanging from her mouth and she blinked a few times, the thick glob of ice cream sliding down her throat and making her cough a bit. “I’m Rogue.” There was a southern twang to her voice and Stacy smiled a bit; she’d heard of Rogue, in fact there very few people that Stacy hadn’t heard of, but to say that she actually knew who she was? Well that was taking things a tad too far. “Anastasia, but I prefer Stacy,” she finally said, taking the spoon from her mouth and pushing her hair behind her ears. As she said her name there was the slightest hint of a Russian accent.
“What has you up this late?” Stacy set her bowl down and hopped onto the counter so she was sitting on it and paused her music, taking one more quick bite before answering. “I was helping someone with computer issues and forgot to eat dinner, so I’m remedying that issue now,” she answered with another grin. “What about you?”

Rogue smiled. "Stacy. Russian than? Pretty name. Like the princess." she said with a soft smile. She was the southern belle after all. Or at least that's what she'd been called. She continued to chomp on her apple. enjoying it. It was crisp and sweet. Just the way she liked it. The long brown hair fell down her back, and across her arm as she leaned on the counter.
"Ah. I just couldn't sleep. You stop sleeping when your worrying about friends. Not that it matters." she said with a shrug, and another smile. "So what kind of computer problem? It seems that for a safe school we get in a lot of trouble." she bobbed her head as she finished the apple and tossed it into the trash. She wanted to eat something else. She grinned. She headed for the freezer and grabbed the chocolate chip mint ice cream. "You may be done eating ice cream, but I'm not. You've got to love the classics."

“ try to remember the kind of September ”( W H E N L I F E W A S S L O W & & S O M E L L O W )- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Stacy nodded at Rogue as she spoke; yep, the little red head was Russian and she found that most people were rather surprised considering the color of her hair. She managed not to twitch a little at the mention of princess part; in all honesty Stacy hated her name, which was why she went around telling people to call her Stacy instead of some other version of Anastasia. Okay, so maybe it was little weird, but she always felt like that name fit her better than one that reminded people of a Russian princess. “Yeah, I lived there most of my life, but my dad was from the States.” He was also the only reason she could speak English as fluently as she did.
The red gave a light nod; she tried not to worry too much about people, but it wasn’t nearly as easy as she tried to pass it off as being. Her mind blanked for a moment as she took another bite from her ice cream until she heard mention of computer problems and Stacy blinked a few times, looking back at Rogue and grinning. “Quite a bit of trouble indeed, but I suppose that’s what happens when you have a bunch of people running around with powers in one school.” Personally Stacy liked to use her powers to pull pranks on people because it was way too much fun. “But anyway, she just got some kind of computer virus so I cleaned it out for her; electronics are kind of my specialty.”
Stacy watched her pull out the chocolate chip mint ice cream and grinned; it was one of her favorites, but the chocolate ice cream in her bowl had been calling her name when she had opened the freezer. “So if you don’t mind me asking…what are your powers?” She knew a few people who didn’t like to talk about theirs so Stacy always felt a bit odd about asking, but she figured she’d try anyway.

Rogue smiled a bit. She ate another bite of ice cream. She was a 'french' girl herself, could even speak some of that language. She loved New Orleans, it's smells, tastes, sounds. She missed it, but she was here now. Her smile turned a bit grim as she watched the girl. "I've always want'd to visit Russia. Always seemed... beautiful." the twang got a bit deeper, she leaned back a bit.
She sniggered. "That is true. Not always our fault. We are 'untrained' as Storm wo'd say." she said with laughter. She was right. they were a large group of untrained mutants. "Ah. Tecnopath... of a sort. Nice. We have another boy who's got that too. It seems like an amazing power." she said softly, a grin on her face.
Then she asked about Rogues power. The blue eyes looked down at her white gloved hands. Her dark brown hair falling and mingling with the white across her face. She closed her eyes for a moment, before looking up at her. "I steal powers. And if you don't have any... I absorb your life energy. It's not pretty. Though it's useful if you need to stop someone from doing something." she said softly.

“ try to remember the kind of September ”( W H E N L I F E W A S S L O W & & S O M E L L O W )- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Stacy nodded and brushed her hair back a bit, “I love Russia, but I haven’t been back since I came here. If you don’t mind the cold or snow it really is a wonderful place to be in for the most part.” She hadn’t seen her parents since she left Russia either, or talked to them, but the red head had never been the kind of person to dwell on things like that. Sure, they were her parents but they also hadn’t bothered trying to help her themselves, just pushed her out of the house. Forcing the thoughts out of her mind, she turned her attention back to Rogue as the girl sniggered and her comment made Stacy laugh a bit.
A smirk crossed her face as she nodded, “oh yes, being untrained makes getting into trouble so much easier.” Pranks were Stacy’s specialty and she always seemed to be in a michevious mood, but for the most part it was completely true; the school was full of untrained mutants. Stacy nodded as Rogue picked out her power, or at least one of her powers, “it comes in handy, but then I get people like my friend who seem to think that just because I have the ability means they can ask me for anything at anytime,” she said with a slight eye roll. The one issue Stacy had though, at least with her friends, was that she couldn’t say no.
“There’s someone else with the power? Hm, I might have to go search him out,” she said with a small grin. Stacy had yet to meet anyone with technopathy as of yet, and now that she knew there was someone else in the school with the same power? Well the red head figured she was going to be a bit busy trying to search him out. She watched Rogue as the other girl looked down and for the first time she noticed the white gloves that she was wearing. As Rogue described her ability, Stacy didn’t know quite how she would react. Part of her thought it was kind of cool if it could be controlled, but judging by the gloves, it wasn’t. “Well it sounds cool in theory, but I’m sure it’s different when it’s being used.” Damn, talk about a very vague answer…maybe she should be a politician.
