Terri's smile wilted just a little at his words, but she caught the reaction and buried it. She wasn't a slacker! She didn't dodge her duties here... just the training session she knew she was gonna get brutalized in. Isn't that better then willing getting her brains knocked around? She'd think it would be smarter to avoid it rather then walk blindly in. But then, was that girl logic? Maybe that's why she's not a commander or ranked higher in the brotherhood.

She brought her eyes back up, giving him a rather humorous look. Light caught her eyes, the little rainbow flexs sparkling as she resorted to the basic and casually stuck her tongue out at him. As her tongue darted back in, her lips curled into a sassy smirk. "Glaring doesn't make people leave me alone, Roland - it works for you cause to most of these people cause they think you are scary. I'm not scary. If I tried to glare at them, they'd probably laugh."

Roland didn’t push the point. She knew what he expected. He’d been doing this long enough after all. Twenty years. He constantly looked at that number wondering what he’d done with his life. But there wasn’t much that was worth him thinking about. He rumbled softly as he caught of a glimps of something off in the distance. It quickly became clear that it was Viktor Creed returning home from what ever he was doing. Good. He needed to talk to the man, but not right now.

He chuckled. ”That’s just because your cute when you do it, and I’m not scary. It’s called intimidating. There’s a difference.” he said a grin slipping onto his face.

Terri gave a little laugh. Cute? Somehow, she was surprised that word was in Roland's vocabulary. She wasn't sure if she should be flattered or scared that he thought she was cute - it made someone unknown move in the pit of her stomach, warming her from the inside out. "I didn't say I thought you were scary, Roland. I said they did. You don't scare me, because I don't think you would ever hurt me on purpose."

Her voice was calm, matter of fact as she spoke. It wasn't flattery or Bravado. She just... wasn't scared of him. Maybe she should have been - she'd seen him shoot on the range and watched them in training a few times. He had a reputation of being a force of natural and a trusted enforcer to Magneto. But Terri... just wasn't scared of him.

Roland gave her a long look. Did she know what she was saying. ”And your right. But I won’t hurt them unless they diserve it. Everyone knows that.” though even as he said it he remember the things he’d done in his years. The kills for no reason beyond to direct the attention elsewhere. He refused to let himself get taken by that thought. He reached out and touched her shoulder. His fingers tingled, just a little.

”I think we should get moving. Someone’s going to panic that I’m not around.” he said a bit darkly. ”It seems that the brotherhood acts like a chicken with out a head.” this was interesting. He stood up, easily.
